Homebound Delivery
Who is eligible?
- Mount Prospect residents who are physically unable to come to the Library because of a permanent or temporary disability or illness.
Are there any requirements?
- You must be a resident of Mount Prospect and have a Mount Prospect Public Library card.
- All circulation and registration policies apply.
- Material is checked out on the individual’s Library card.
- Homebound Delivery Service is free.
How do I sign up?
- Fill out the Homebound Delivery Service registration form at the bottom of this page and submit it online.
- Fill out the paper version of the Homebound Delivery Service registration form and return it to Mount Prospect Public Library.
- Contact Cathleen Blair, Homebound Delivery Service Coordinator, at 847-253-5675.
What happens after I sign up?
- Once the Homebound Delivery Service registration form is filled out and received, you will be assigned a staff member who will contact you and select materials for you based on the criteria that you provide.
- A volunteer will then contact you to make arrangements for delivery.
- Books are delivered once per month.

How can I become a homebound volunteer?
- Contact Janet Keena, the volunteer coordinator at Mount Prospect Public Library 847-253-5675.
- A short orientation is required.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
- You will be assigned a homebound patron when one becomes available.
