Wille Cheese Factory  

Photograph of the Wille Cheese Factory/Creamery, c. 1880. The Wille Family is shown standing outside their living quarters on top of the factory. Built on the corner of Wille Street and Northwest Highway, the factory was forsaken by its owner, William Wille, in 1885. Wille went on to tavern-keeping and construction.

Photograph showing the area surrounding Mount Prospect's first water tower. The tower was built next to the J. B. Crofoot Co. Stapling Devices business along with a small pumphouse. The pumphouse also housed the village's fire truck and served as the village hall.
