Homework Alerts
To make public library materials accessible to all students for homework assignments, Youth Services offers its Homework Alert service. This allows the Library to have resources pulled from the shelves and held in the Library for students to utilize. The information is then displayed on the Homework Alert board in Youth Services and on the Library’s Web site.
A Youth Services staff member will contact your school librarian early in the school year to determine your school’s Homework Alert procedure.
Please provide the following information about the assignment:
- teacher’s name
- grade
- nature of assignment — please be as specific as possible
- number of students working on the assignment
- when assignment is due
